IZIZIGBO GROUP (PROSCRIPTION) LAW

This Izizigbo group in Ediba Village in Obubra Local Government Area is hereby proscribed.
The Izizigbo group and its executive committee (by whatever name called) are hereby dissolved.
Any person who purports to be a member of the Izizigbo Group or to hold any office in the said Group, or carries on or attempts to carry on any of the activities of the Izizigbo Group, shall be guilty of an offence and liable upon conviction to a fine of ₦20,000 or imprisonment for two years or to both such fine and imprisonment.
(1) Any person having in his possession any property or asset whatsoever, belonging to the Izizigbo Group shall forthwith surrender such property or asset to the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Ediba Village.
(2) Any person who contravenes the provisions of subsection (1) of this section shall be guilty of an offence and liable on conviction to a fine of ₦20,000 or imprisonment for two years or to both such fine and imprisonment.
Any person who is a member or purports to be a member of any association whatsoever which carries on, or attempts to carry on any activities similar in any respect to those carried on by the Izizigbo Group shall be guilty of an offence and liable upon conviction to a fine of ₦20,000 or imprisonment for two years or to both such fine and imprisonment.
Any police officer may arrest without warrant any person suspected of committing any offence under this Law.
This Law may be cited as the Izizigbo Group (Proscription) Law.
