PUBLIC OFFICERS REMUNERATION PACKAGE LAW
A Law to make provisions for the Remuneration Package for Public Officers in Cross River State.
(20th July, 2001)
[Commencement.]
Public Officers in the State shall be paid such salaries, allowances and fringe benefits as are prescribed in the Schedules to this Law.
The effective dates for the Remuneration are as follows—
(i) Governor/Deputy Governor – 29th May, 2003;
(ii) House of Assembly Members – 29th May, 1999;
(iii) Commissioners, Commissions, Secretary to the State Government, Head of Service, Permanent Secretaries/Clerk of the House, Chief Registrar and all other categories – 29th May, 2003;
(iv) Judiciary – 29th May, 1999;
(v) Chairmen/Vice-Chairmen Local Government – 29th May, 2003;
(vi) Councilors – 29th May, 2003;
(vii) Supervisory Councilor/Secretary to the LGA – 29th May, 2003.
In this Law, unless the context otherwise requires—
“State” means Cross River State of Nigeria.
The Law may be cited as the Public Officers Remuneration Package Law.
