UNIVERSITY OF ABUJA (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2016

EXPLANATORY MEMORANDUM

This Act amends the University of Abuja Act, Cap. U2, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004 by correcting the marginal note to section 3 to confine the exercise of powers to only the University of Abuja.

ENACTED by the National Assembly of the Federal Republic of Nigeria –

Amendment of Cap. U2 LFN. 2004

1. The University of Abuja, Cap. U2, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004 (in this Act referred to as “ the Principal Act”) is amended as set out in this Act.

Substitution for the marginal note to section 3

2. Substitute for the marginal note to section 3 of the Principal act, a new marginal note –

“Power of the University and its exercise”

Citation

3. This Act may be known as the University of Abuja (Amendment) Act, 2016.
