EXPLANATORYMEMORANDUM

This Act gives effect to the revised Laws  of the Federation   of  Nigeria  2004  made  under  the  authority  of  the  Attorney-General   of the  Federation  and Minister of Justice

REVISED EDITION  (LAWS OF THE  FEDERATION  OF   NIGERIA)  ACT,  2007

An Act to enable effect to be given to the revised edition of the Laws of the Federation of Nigeria.

[25th  May, 2007 ]

Enacted by the National Assembly of the Federal Republic of Nigeria

1. The Laws of the Federation of Nigeria compiled and published in 2004 under the authority of the Attorney  General   of  the  Federation   and  Minister  of  Justice are  hereby     approved  by   the  National Assembly.

2       Any inadvertent omission, alteration or amendment of any existing statute shall not affect the validity and  applicability of the statute.

3. The Revised Edition’ (Laws of the Federation of Nigeria)  Act 1990 is repealed:

4. In this Act- “existing statutes’ means any enactment, subsidiary instrument, legislation in force before     the giving of effect to the provisions of this Act

5. This Act may be cited as the Revised Edition (Laws of the Federation of Nigeria) Act, 2007.
