ARRANGEMENT OF SECTIONS
THE CREATION OF AZARA CHIEFDOM EDICT 1999 NASARAWA STATE OF NIGERIA EDICT NO 7 1999
[Enactment]
The Military Administrator of Nasarawa State of Nigeria hereby makes the following Edict:
WHEREAS the EXECUTIVE COUNCIL OF NASARAWA STATE considers it expedient for good government and peaceful co-existence of AWE LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL that a new chiefdom be created put the present AWE Chiefdom called AZARA Chiefdom.
AND WHEREAS the Military Administrator is satisfied that such creation is expedient and is for the interest of peace and progress of the area, do hereby enact as follows:
Title and commencement
Interpretation
“Council” means Awe Local Government Council
“Governor” means Governor of Nasarawa State.
“State” Means Nasarawa State of Nigeria
“Village Areas” means Village Areas mentioned in Section 5 of this Edict.
Creation of AZARA Chiefdom
Headquarters of the Chiefdom
Village Areas constituting the Chiefdom
(i) Azara
(ii) Unguwar Madaki
(iii) Unguwar Galadima
(iv) Rugwadgu
(v) Unguwar Wambai
(vi) Unguwar Chiroma
